The Archaeological Site of Kale-Krševica / La Tène Horizon (2^nd/1^st centuries BC):

The youngest horizon at the acropolis has yielded the remains of a settlement and many pits of a cult character. Vessels have been discovered which clearly illustrate the ethnic characteristics of groups, which, after the fall of Macedonia and the establishment of the Roman province (in 146 BC), often dashed southward and looted these prosperous regions. Such events are mentioned in antique written sources and the finds from Krševica confirm to a certain extent that participants in these campaigns were the Scordisci, Thracians, Dacians, Triballi and Dardanians.
